Off to Cali...

Friday morning Bryce and I headed to California with my dad, uncle Sam and my cousin Zach.  I wasn't planning on going to my sister's graduation but because my grandma has been sick in Seattle and my mom and aunts are with her, there were two tickets that wouldn't get used.  I was so excited when Robert told me he had asked his sister to watch the kids while he was working, so I could go to California and see Liz get her doctorate degree.
   When we got  to Cali we had an afternoon to do whatever we wanted. We met my mom there, her plane arrived about 20 minutes after ours.  My family obliged to going to In-N-Out because that was one thing I wanted to make sure I ate while I was there and we were all pretty hungry.  After that we checked into our hotel and then headed to Venice beach.  The sand felt so wonderful on my feet, it was so warm and soft!!!  We were near the water for about 5 minutes before Bryce was ready to go.  He didn't like all the weird stuff in the sand (washed up sea weed and things).  We found some sea shells and then decided to walk along the shops.

Venice beach is INTERESTING to say the least, not a beach I would take my kids back to.  Thankfully Bryce was watching skateboarders with my parents while my uncle, cousin and I walked around.  Then we were getting tired and headed back to the hotel.  We ate at Fuddruckers and then went to bed, it was gonna be a busy day of graduation celebrations in the morning.
